The Bills cut Dustin Hopkins and the Cardinals cut Jay Feely. Those two guys are legit options. Hopkins is subject to waivers. Feely is a vet that a team would probably want to sign after week 1 so his salary for the whole season isn't guaranteed.

I would bring in Hopkins, he is supposedly a great kickoffs guy. Feely might be done.

Feely was cut because he was awful and deserved it.

Temple's Brandon Mcmanus is the kicker prize everyone is waiting on. Giants will likely keep Josh Brown, but McManus, the 6'4. 23 year old should be our target.

Giants have informed K Brandon McManus that Josh Brown will be the team's kicker, per league source. McManus will be waived.

Not so fast, the Giants worked out a trade instead of waving him:

    Adam Schefter @AdamSchefter 1h

Broncos trading a conditional 7th-round pick to NYG for K Brandon McManus, per source. Kicking insurance while Matt Prater is suspended.

Giants trying to keep McManus from us.

Yep, the move was done solely to keep him from us.

On NYG-Den trade, Broncos only give up a 7th-rder if McManus is their K beyond 4th game + Den can still sign another K in interim w/ no comp

So why would the Giants do that deal instead of just cutting McManus? Easy - they know the Eagles might've had interest. Played keep-away.

Silly Giants. You really think one kicker is the difference between your team and ours? We could go without a kicker and still outscore you by 30.

Well played by Denver. They solve their 4 game kicker problem with a quality substitute, and then can release him when Praeter returns without having to compensate the NYG.

They preyed on the Giants fear of doing anything that could possibly strengthen the Eagles, and solved their suspension problem for nothing.

We can see how he fares in NFL games (albeit in Denver) and then make a move to pick him up (if necessary) after week 4.

Prater or McManus, which ever is available. IN the meantime, maybe Parkey beats out Henerey, or we sign another K until a better option is available. As Iggles Nut said, we should romp over anybody in the 4 games.

Romp over the Giants whenever we play them. We do play the Colts and 49ers in the first 4 games. They should be competitive.
