So does Montee Ball fall after appendectomy?

The team says it expects him back before opening day, but do you think this affects his draft standing, especially in early drafts?

It seems a question mark to me...

Not in the least. They caught it before it burst so he should be just fine.

I've got him as my 6th rated RB this year personally. He's going to have a monster season and should easily put up numbers equal to Moreno last season (who finished 5th in RB scoring). He's really under-rated IMO.

I kind of agree with you but wonder if he slips some.

I wouldn't let it affect my draft thinking. Assuming they did this laparoscopically, he should recover very quickly. And he'll be a few grams lighter.

He's having a worthless organ removed. Assuming there isn't a fluke accident during the procedure, his value should technically go up (even if only an inconsequential amount) because by not having an appendix, he can't have an appendicitis, or worse, have it rupture.

FYI: The appendix being a completely worthless organ is now known to be a myth. It plays a part in the immune system. You can certainly live without it but it does serve a function.
