    Confirmed on my end.

Not sure if bonus even applies for rookie contracts. How do all the cap hits/bonus contracts work in this situation?

McKinnon's contract is fully guaranteed. But as part of the rule change, we implemented this clause...

When trading drafted rookies still on their original contract, the original owner takes the current-year cap hit...the remaining guaranteed money is spread over the life of the contract...meaning the salary would stay the same but the "bonus" would decrease.

All of that means I take a $300 cap hit. And you don't have the option of converting his contract. It remains fully guaranteed. But the remaining bonus ($300 x 3 years) will be spread over the 4 years of his contract.

Got it. I guess that means I don't have to declare anything then.

It was an "all in move"...Having all those draft picks is a doubled edge sword...What you gonna do with them?

Actually he only gave up two firsts...he could care less about second rounders...still a lot, no a ton...but I guess he really wanted Cobb, and after watching Watkins QB performance said...OHH ****????

Hey we need to make a separate thread regarding the off season, draft, ufa, team status, who's improved, etc...
