I love the striped socks ...... but my favorite is the 70s-80s big D

On a related note, I really think #30 and #84 should be retired

IMO retired numbers suck. I like what Denver does by retiring names and not numbers (despite a few retired) The Patriots (out of all the teams) had so many numbers retired that they had to un-retired about 6 numbers a few years ago.I am all for retirning a number for a few year. I bet nobody wears #24 for a year or two, then opening it back up. No need to retire a number just get the player in the ring of fame with his jersey number next to him.

I think Terrell Davis and Shannon Sharpe are outstanding examples ... I know a team could go nuts retiring numbers - but #30 and #84 should go along with #7 ......

What will happen to #18 when Manning retires ?

Do they re-retire the #18 in honor of Frank Tripucka ?? ... or, considering it was unretired, do they keep using it ? ...

Will it be retired as part of a QB Combo ?

    lol

Here's a Bronco trivia question - what other two quarterbacks wore number 7 as a starting QB for the Denver Broncos?

My favorite memory of Mickey Slaughter was the Broncos made him the first QB to sear a camera in his helmet as a QB in the preseason game- It looked like a double decker bus on his head and weighed about 7 pounts - Mickey could barely hold his head up straight. After the game - they rushed the film into the delivery room so they could see what Mickey Slaughter was seeing out there at QB. When they ran the film - most of the shots straight up in the sky - as Mickey got sacked about a dozen times.
