    Gary Zimmerman

Bronco Planet continues this excellent series of legendary Broncos.

I had completely forgotten that Zimmerman had played in the USFL.

The story I remember about him is how - John Elway had to ride a Harley into Sturgis South Dakota to talk Zimmerman into playing his last year.

I do remember Reggie White rag dolling him once in Green Bay - about the only time I saw him beat on a football field.

Certainly the most dominant offensive lineman in the history of the Denver Broncos.

Could Clady surpass the great Zimmerman? I think potentially he can.

Yes - Clady has a chance to be the all time Olineman - of the Broncos - and with Zimmerman in the legacy books that is saying something about Clady.

No doubt about it especially since Zimmerman split his time between the Vikings and the Broncos and really when he became an elite OT it all started with the Vikings. Whereas Clady started with the Broncos and hopefully ends with the Broncos. (I suppose you could go back to his Bronco days at Boise State on that one) ;)
