That is in addition to teh 400+ members of the Muslim Brotherhood that were sentenced to death a couple months ago. Of course the majority of those sentences were done in absentia, and many of them have been reduced to life in prison, but the symbolism of the sentences still has a meaning.

In another case signaling growing intolerance of dissent by military-backed authorities

Authorities have extended a crackdown to secular activists.

A ruling on Monday banning the activities of the April 6 movement follows the imprisonment of three of its leading members last year on charges of protesting illegally. Charges against April 6 included "damaging the image of the state".
Lovely. Giving the authorities the biggest guns so they can "cleanse" their societies isn't the answer anywhere ever.

The Brotherhood be-headed and brutally murdered Christians and burned their churches. That's called Genocide in anybody's book but the perps. They deserve what they got sentenced to. People don't equate them with the likes of Hitler like they should.

Ordinarily, I'd agree, but I should point out that they weren't murdered because they were Christians. Because, as I've been told many times, there's no such thing as a religious conflict.

I am sure that these deaths can actually be blamed on collectivism and Americans liberals somehow.
