Anyone in the NC/SC area interested in going to the Panthers game?

Aube & I are going to Bills opener with the wives. Anyone planning on going?

P.S. Bold prediction is that we will be 6-2 going into the bye week

My bold prediction was 5-3 so we're in the ballpark. It's all going to depend on the defense.

6-2 is pretty optimistic imo. Going on the road for 6 out of the first 8 games is pretty f'd up scheduling. I hope they go 4-4

No afternoon games (unless we get flexed into one at the end of the season).
I like my Bears football to start at noon or be on during prime time.

    Go Bears!

It isn't going to be easy to make the Playoffs. Looks like another nail-biter down the stretch. We simply cannot miss the Playoffs this year. Period. If we do, you'll start hearing me call for a change in management (Emery) despite how well I feel he's built the team.

I really like this schedule. While having 6 of the first 9 games on the road is a bit daunting, the upside is that it results in 5 of the last 7 being at home. That really sets them up to finish strong & build momentum heading into the playoffs. They bye week is scheduled at the best possible time right in the exact middle of the season and it leads into the annual trip to Lambaugh. Our next toughest game in the 2nd half of the season (at least on paper as things stand today) is the Saints game and we're coming off a Thursday game for that so another extra bit of prep time. If they can pick up even just 4 or 5 wins during that tough 9 game opening stretch, then I like their chances to make a strong push into the playoffs in the 2nd half of the season.

Looking forward to Thanksgiving Day already.
Wouldn't it be great if we booted the 200 lawyers from the House and Senate and replaced them with economists? That way, we'd stop harming our economy with laws that would apply to the politicians, too.

We will [at minimum] be in the NFC Championship Game (if not be in the Superbowl). Our strongest opponents will be Seattle, 49ers and the Saints.

I'll stick my neck out and get criticized for it [thats fine]. I'm willing to have the courage to be wrong like my Alshon Jeffery prediction before the draft 2 years ago.

You can market it down and book it!!! We will be in the NFC Championship Game. After the bye week, its a weak 2nd half of the season....perfect momentum going into the playoffs.

Your right about the defense Coach. On that vein concerning the defense, my prediction is the defense will surprise many and many of the defensive players we draft will contribute greatly this year.
