Bears will continue to use the 4-3 base defense

I guess everyone else knew this:

Bears | Will continue to use 4-3 defense
    Wed, 19 Feb 2014 09:48:50 -0800

Chicago Bears head coach Marc Trestman said the team will continue to use the 4-3 defensive alignment as their base defense but also have some versatility to maximize their players' talent. "It's a matter of being able to utilize the people that we have and be ready to do whatever it's going to take with a system that's flexible enough to do it," Trestman said. "It's making sure we have a scheme that can utilize our players and bring the best out of them."

yep, just like we used a cover 2 as our base scheme.
But that could mean that we go with another alignment as much as 1/2 the time....
Having a base means nothing really.

I hope you're right. I would like to see as much creativity on defense as we've seen on offense.

I can easily see passing situations turn into a 3-4 to get a blitz package on the field
