And looking at Franco's numbers, I think Asche has some job security.

Is Asche your issue? How about getting some production from left or centerfield?

Maybe a better question is how long does Giles stay hot in Reading before he gets moved?

I didn't know Howard was running that well. For a big man? Not bad!

Rollins, Utley, and Howard have some pretty nice numbers right now. The outfield and third base just remain dead spots.

I don't know who this Hollands guy is, but he could be our set up man in a week.

Hollands is a young guy who surprisingly made the team out of spring training. He wasn't really a dominant reliever in the minors. He's a funky lefty with some deception and decent velocity.

I know it's super early, but I have to say Howard looks the best he has in years. So I have to ask. Let's say he hits 40 HRs and drives in 120 runs should the Phillies then do everything they can to trade him in the offseason and get out from underneath his terrible contract?

Oh and if Cliff Lee continues to pitch like he has the 5 games after opening day he's going to be the best player available at the trade deadline and the Phillies should have no problem bringing in a nice return for him. Texas, Baltimore, Toronto, Boston, Kansas City, & maybe even St. Louis at the very least should be asking about him. It will probably come down to where teams are in the standings. For me I'd love to get a few prospects off of Texas, Baltimore, Kansas City, Boston, or St. Louis who all have some great prospects.

If Howard has 100 homers at the break, I would trade him for anything, any place, any time if it means a team takes that contract.
