    we need a new kicker

Ive had enough of Henry. The kid has no leg and is too inconsistent. We at the very least need to bring someone else in here to press him. He hasn't lived up to where he was picked. I'm ready for an upgrade here
    My common sense is tingling.

Agree 100%...I don't think he is awful, but he lacks the big leg, and we needed that big leg many times this year, and it wasn't there via kickoff or long FG.

He is a big problem. It's the kickoffs that essentially render him subpar. I fully expect Henery to get competition next year.

You can make a strong argument that he is the reason we lost last night, between the missed FG and the poor kickoff on the final drive.

Yep he needs competition next year if not out and out cut, however there is not much out there in free agency. The best kickers available are warm weather or dome guys

Never was a big fan of his; we definitely need an upgrade here.

It's very disheartening to take the lead late in a game then give up midfield position on the kickoff to your opponent - that said, it wasn't just the kicker's fault. For one thing, I doubt the ball is easy to kick deep in sub-freezing temps, secondly the coverage team didn't get down there to snuff the return - and the player who took him down by a horse-collar? You could argue he saved more yardage, but I didn't see that going all the way and if he'd taken a sharper angle he might have gotten him fair and square within 2 yards. The tackler added 15 to the result.

Then your run defense was incapable of the stop - which Jason Garrett better had been watching. Kickers are a dime a dozen so sure, bring in competition, but bringing in run defense and more speed on ST's is not something to overlook just by scapegoating the kicker (not saying you's are blind to that, just saying there's more to the loss than that kick-off itself).

Getting to that subject, you kicked off with what? About 3 mins left? That's a tough spot to be in. You needed the TD to take the lead, so you couldn't exactly milk the clock with the first and goal (the PI penalty may have actually hurt you, but there again you hadn't exactly been moving it at will - still I question going deep there, how much time remained AT THAT PLAY? -- had you gotten the TD there?). You really had a choice there at the 50 which was obvious: let them score a TD and try to win it on offense, or try to stop them before they reached FG range. It seems pretty obvious you try to stop them there, but once you didn't... you really didn't have a chance to prevent them doing what they did. If you loaded the box they'd have thrown it on ye's, which might have caused a score or a turnover (that's what I'd have done). You had to sell-out to stop the run there, and you weren't able to.

Graham Gano from Carolina is #1 in Touchback % and was 6-6 from 50+ yards. Henery has 2 in his career.

He is a FA. I'd sign him aand drop Henery.

Hard to believe he was a fourth round draft choice.

I'm on board. Henery needs to be replaced. Hopefully Gano doesn't resign w/the panthers first.

If you are going to keep him around you have to at least go get a kickoff specialist. Not being able to kick it out the back of the endzone is a joke.

Chip would never waste a roster spot on a KOS

Well that all depends on the definition of waste. You can't play every game from the 20 yard line and give your opponent the 30. That's not a recipe for sustained success.
