OK, it's a keeper league...I am 1-7 thru 5 weeks...and pretty much having a fire sale.
I rejected this trade offer yesterday, but am having 2nd thoughts about it:
Trent Richardson (keepable for a 1st round pick)
Rob Gronkowski (keepable for a 1st round pick)
Ryan Matthews (keepable for a 2nd round pick)
Hakeem Nicks (keepable for a 2nd round pick)
Denarius Moore (keepable for a 4th round pick)
Giovanni Bernard (keepable for a 1st...I am not likely to keep at 1st, but never know)
3rd round pick
5th round pick
10th round pick
Trade includes some garbage players, Bernard is the only one I like. Also, includes me trading him some low picks as well.
I have two 2nd round picks next year, but no 4th.
Players available this year in the 3rd: Frank Gore, Roddy White, Matty Ice, and Tom Brady.
Players available this year in the 5th: Jordy Nelson, Tavon Austin, Colston, and Luck.
Basically, this trade doesn't do much for me...but does improve my position for 2014.
I would be going into the 2014 draft with:
Keepers: Darren Sproles, Danny Woodhead (PPR league), Percy Harvin, Jordan Reed, and Terrell Pryor.
Picks: 1, 2, 2, 3, 3, 5, 5, 6, 7, 8, 12, 13 (17 total players)
I should hold out for even more...right? My feeling is that the value is close because all of the above players are now only 8 game rentals (plus play-offs) and will be tossed back in the player pool....and I should get whatever I can right now...and not be too greedy...right? T.Rich sucks...Nicks is inconsistent...Gronk is great, but the 1st round keeper price is too high even for the best TE in the game.
