Not that it'll likely matter much, since the offense looks apocalyptic, but it's being reported by the beat guys that Jarvis Jones was running as the starter at Will in practice today. When questioned, he said he expects to be starting on Monday night(a coach was not quoted to that effect yet, though). Hopefully that's what happens. All he does it make plays when they put him in there, and they are probably going to need more of 'em.
The team had already said Monday that Jones would be getting more time, but alluded to maybe rotating series with Worilds. Hopefully they dispense with that and just let Jones take the baton and run with it. If anyone is going to be the guy who spells both starters, it should probably be Worilds anyway. He plays far, far better over the TE than he does as the Will, and for all his "get off" Jones makes more plays in the backfield than he does.
I know it's practically etched in stone that no one can start for Dick LeBeau's D until year 3 or 4, but there's very little sense in putting training wheels on a guy with Jones' pedigree who already knows how to play OLB until Week 12-13, in my mind.
