    RIP Chuck Muncie

At 60. Heart attack. Thing I always remembered most about him was him being a football player that wore glasses.

And his post-football story is one that might provide a faint glimmer of hope for Titus Young...

    RIP Chuck.

I always looked at him as one of those "What could've been?" type players as he had all the tools to be a truly great RB, maybe even top 10 of all time talent. Seemed like he turned his life around after a rocky ending to his football career Good on him.

I had met Chuck Muncie in real life several times in the 1990s. He worked with at-risk kids in SoCal. He seemed like a genuinely good guy who was trying to help some kids in a rough part of the state. It seemed he had turned his life around.

yes. Good guy, and did help out at-risk kids with his Chuck Muncie Foundation. A guy that didn't have to try so hard at football to be great. Then took the wrong road and landed himself in jail for 18 months on cocaine distribution. But he said he took the time in jail to contemplate how he could turn himself around and he did just that.

Man, when's the last time you saw a 6'3" RB?

    RIP Chuck
