    Andrew Luck and Colin Kaepernick

So year 2 comes up for these guys.

I expect both to have a bumpier road this year than last year. The rest of the league will adjust to what they do and make them beat them with skills they haven't had to show yet. There is a reason why the NFL didn't have running QBs - and this because they get hurt - that shine will wear off Kaepernick. One part of me says Luck just might be that good that he will adjust as fast or faster than the rest of the league adjusts to him, but chances are he will be like everyone else and take a sophmore slump.

I would please respectfully ask you don't start these threads with titles that remind of a Porno Film.

Kap is the real deal - and as time goes on, he will begin to distance himself from the likes of RGIII, Wilson et al - actually, he already has ...

Luck is a different type of QB ... What impresses me with Luck is that he can look awful at times and then pull these drives out at the end of games as if he's hitting a switch .

Both of them will be good this season, and for a long time to come ....

I like Wilson too .... but RGIII will be the biggest disappointment over the next few years as the injuries will plague his game

Heck, I have very little credibility w/ my opinions anyway, so I'll toss out the prediction that Nick Foles is put in the Kap/Luck/Wilson discussion within 2 years

While I agree about Kap, their division is very tough.

I like Luck over the long haul. I do not agree with a soph slump for him. That being said, the Colts are a shaky team overall. Without him , they are right back at 2-14.

This thread title is just simply the names of 2 guys. What kind of pornos are you watching, old man? Were women not allowed in films back in your day?

As far as the original topic, I'll nit pick a little first. Kaep is entering his 3rd year. As far as how they'll do, I actually started a thread with a similar topic in the General NFL section. I'm not buying into the whole pistil run option offense in the NFL. Luck does not fall in this category. I think Luck is going to be a tremendous QB in this league and will lead the next generation of great QBs. I don't buy into guys like Wilson, Kaep, RGIII, etc. There will come a time when they have to make it on just their arms and their heads. DCs in this league will figure out a way to slow down this option gimmick and make these guys play QB to beat them and I'm not sure they'll be able to pull it off.
As cliche as it may sound, I'd like to raise another round, and if your bottle's empty help yourself to mine, thank you for your time and here's to life.

Such statements would be more commanding if your booty didn't quiver in eager anticipation of our answers.

but don't you think those guys succeeded in large part due to their heads and ability to make plays with their arms from the pocket?

I wouldn't say in large part. When you run this type of offense, the defense has to tweak what they do a bit. One of the ways to combat this is to use the ol' QB spy, which takes away either a pass rusher or someone in coverage. So, if the QB stays in the pocket, you're basically playing 10 on 11. Like I said, it'll get figured out by DCs soon enough and we'll soon find out if these guys can really play or if they are a product of another gimmick.
