As usual, Vice has the best story on this.

Anti-gun folks hear things like this and immediately think Apocalypse. Anyone in the world with a 3D printer could also go out and get an unregistered gun just as easily. It's more a story on sad attempts at government control, as you'll see in the latter half of the video.

Scathing attack on the efficacy of these weapons, basically because of the materials used to make them.
APF doesn't come in screaming at others about how stupid they are. APF doesn't spam NST with the same tired topic 30 times a month. APF doesn't link to some kook in his mom's basement telling you how to, "Be afraid. Be very afraid" of the world falling down around you. And, when APF is proven wrong, he acknowledges he made a mistake and moves on, rather than harping about "sheeple."

http://yro.slashdot.org/story/13/11/...ns-can-explode The ATF isn't impressed with printed-gun technology.

Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms. Sounds good. I'll bring the chips.

I saw there was a metal 3D printed gun that Solid Concepts just tested recently. I think it worked?

Watching it gave me an infection. That's an ugly ass interpretation of a timeless design. John Moses Browning just rolled over...

    A survey article of 3-D printed guns -- http://www.nytimes.com/2014/08/14/fa...nted-guns.html

It suggests that single-shot (as in single-shot ever and then throw it away) guns might actually work, now or fairly soon. That could suffice for most domestic violence use cases.

If you're going to be irrepsonsible with your gun links, maybe you shouldn't have them.

This Merica. If I want to leave my links laying around unattended that's my right as a citizen.

You'll take my links from my cold, dead browser.
