    Jim Leonhard Appreciation Thread

Solid player ... got a big INT in that comeback game vs San Diego ( ... then again, who didn't ? )

Not that he was spectacular, but as it stands now, our situation at safety is as pedestrian as it's ever been .

Yeah, it's looking suspiciously like we will be taking a safety

Vaccaro in the 2nd? Did he fail a drug test? ;)

Leonhard was a nice role guy. Good guy to have around as a depth S guy, can field a punt in the RZ if you need a smart guy back there. Has good ball skills. Dependable, and smart.

I don't think him leaving means we "HAVE" to draft a S. We still have Moore, Adams, Bruton, Q.Carter, but with Carter thing up in the air (team will know more about it then we do) it is very possible. S is a position I feel we could take at any point of the draft. Don't have to take one, but with not a TON of needs this year could easily take one at any point based on value. Could also sign a vet S after the draft is we don't take a S in the draft. I figured Leonhard may get another one year deal with the Carter thing, as Leonhard publicly stated he wanted to return.

Not that it means anything but as of now I have not heard of us showing an interest of talking/visiting with any S's so far. (Like I said means nothing)

I think the S position we will look as follows. If something is there value wise why not jump on it? If nothing is probably bring ina vet S after the draft to compete and be insurance for injury or the Carter situation or perhaps even draft one based on value and bring in a vet depending on the round we/if take a S to compete.

I guess what I am getting at in a round about way is. I could see us bringing a S in somehow or another to compete. ;)

Not that I know of - but what a great idea. We should start a rumor on twitter that he has and maybe that would drop him so we could grab him at #28.

Meh. He fair caught a bunch of punts, and had an int. I could do that for half the money.

Come on we both know you would never puss out and fair catch... You would catch that sucker, pull a Devin Hester and take it to the crib.

Jim Leonard was a perfect fit for the Broncos last year and really exceeded expectations - nice to have seen him as a Bronco. I wish him well.

He is, however, another one in the NFEFP club (Not Fast Enough For Paul).
