I have a friend who got into smoking weed in the last 5 years...and he's HUGE on using a vaporizer. Apparently, a vaporizer is a big thing among younger potheads these days. I tried it with him, but man...it was weird sucking smoke outta a plastic baloon...sure it was more purified...and I got high...but seriously gimme my trusty old metal pipe and a bic lighter...all I need thank you.
I love my vaporizer. I've got the Silver Surfer but am looking to upgrade to the Volcano shortly. I think it improves the taste, makes the herb last longer, and I do find it to be easier on the lungs.

Cool beans...I got no problem getting high on one if it's the only means...but it sure is weird sucking air in via a balloon...kinda creepy in a way.

Have you ever tried those vaporizer pipes before? I might consider that.....

In the past hashish was mixed in with cheap binders like camel dung... :-) When I first started out with such silliness (several eons ago), for some reason there was tons of hashish floating around. That was fun... I admit I'm way behind the technology curve on this now. Other then what I see on Weeds.

I haven't yet. Maybe once MJ is legal and I don't have to hide in my home like a criminal to enjoy something that grows out of the ground.

Although vaporizers are supposed to be the most efficient way of burning the pollen off of the cannabis, it does give you a different type of high as far as my personal experience.

Amusing and sad all at once.

More availability means more patients get their medicine right? Yes and no.

Realize that only those corporations who have paid the right pockets get to produce the "medical" cannabis. Likewise, dirty practices result in dirty business ethics and that is exactly what happened in Colorado. Interests rule and a low-grade product was available to all. Or look at those people who had their dispensaries closed in CA for a sign as who is NOT part of the mafia. The rabbit hole gets very dark very fast.

This isn't about healing people, it is about making money.

I don't like vaporizers either. I smoked a Volcano (supposedly the pinnacle of vaporizers) in Amsterdam and while it definitely minimizes the amount consumed and you don't waste any, it removes most of the taste and gives a yucky dry after taste. Almost like hay. If I was concerned about the dangers of smoking it, I would use a double chambered glass bong.

That said, the original way to ingest it is probably best. It is referred to as tincturing and is the preferred method for cancer. It can be taken under the tongue, or by swallowing or even used topically depending upon location of cancer.

I have seen video of it being used to treat cancer in all 3 locations and the results are nothing less than stunning (Run From The Cure ... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JsuradmaMO0). I tried a much weaker version of The Cure a while back and it was the best thing I have ever used for my joints. Much much better than chondroitin and glucosamine which when taken together, are leaps and bounds better than the next best thing.

Oh and pollen is not trichomes. Pollen is what plants use to breed. Trichomes are the gland structures all over the plant which resemble a lollipop and they are the essence of the plant and what provides a euphoric and/or healing effect. The trichomes are essentially kief. Look at some images online of trichomes under a microscope. It is really an amazing thing if you have never seen it before. Trichomes.....well I'll be damned, right when I thought it was pollen. Good stuff.

I think YellowKnifer cured his dog's cancer through use of edibles, etc. Evidently, if I recall correctly, the vet had pretty much written the dog off, but YK was able to treat the dog with cannabis and either totally cured the animal or he went into remission.

Really amazing drug in that regard......as well as others.
