As cliche as it may sound, I'd like to raise another round, and if your bottle's empty help yourself to mine, thank you for your time and here's to life.

I'm Irish - from the rich Protestant types sent there to populate the best farming land in a Queen Elizabeth scheme to hold down the rebelious Irish who already lived there and were catholics. Not just being Irish threatened Queen Elizabeth they were catholics too - her father Henry 8th - broke from the Catholic church - while he was out trying to find a women to his taste that would give him a male heir. This while Queen Elizabeth cut down 90% of the trees in Ireland for her ship building.

The snakes are back in Ireland - by the way- in boom times they were bought as pets and in these leaner times they have been turned loose.

This is why they drink in Ireland.

There are at least 12 good reasons there to hate monarchs (think ---government --think King Broke US the 1st )
I have never understood why it is "greed" to want to keep the money you earned, but not "greed" to take someone else's money---Thomas Sowell

Channel surfing last night(St Pattys day) got me the classic Irish yarn "The Quiet Man" with John Wayne and Maureen O'Hara. I had forgotten what a fun movie that was and how beautiful Ireland is and especially how stunning the young Maureen O'Hara was. Most enjoyable.

I love the fight between JW and Victor McLaglen - with the village Priest the most excited about the prospect of the fight than anyone in town.
