S Adrian Wilson, S Dawan Landry, CB Chris Gamble all cut

by the Cardinals, Jaguars, and Panthers respectively. Increasing options on FA market and also increasing competition as those teams created needs. Of the 3 I think I'd have most interest in Gamble.

I don't like any of them for us, but it's a good thing as they lower the value of some other, better targets.

CB Aaron Ross also cut by the Jaguars. Atari Bigby cut by Chargers. Seems like a lot of teams are making cap room by cutting veteran Ss because they know this is a strong draft class at the position.

You get one younger guy at FS. Then you sign Wilson. Then you draft a young SS in the 3rd or 4th round(D.J. Swearinger) that Wilson can mentor. Wouldn't pay a ton for Wilson though. Clearly on the decline. But hey I'm the idiot that was all for letting Dawkins leave so maybe they should do the opposite of what I say.

I was thinking the same thing. Dawkins had a few years left after he left us. Maybe not 100%, but still a huge contributor, and was better than any of the youth we had at 100%. I think Wilsom would be in that same light for us - a good mentor, vet and stopgap that would allow us to use draft resources in other areas instead. I'd take this one in a heartbeat.

That was EXACTLY my thinking, and the player(Swearinger, 3rd rd though)

I'd be cool with that. Swearinger will likely still be there in Rd 3 due to a slow 40, but I'll take him all day at that spot.

    Gimme 2 FAs...

    FS-Goldson or Glover & SS-Chung

In the draft, I'll take Swearinger in Rd. 3.

    Safety problem solved. FINALLY!
