I don't think any of you guys have walked a mile in AV's shoes, so you don't really understand how the piling-on around here is destructive to any potential good that might come from AV's posts.

AV says "Fluoride is bad for you and here's why."

10 people start posting pictures of tinfoil hat + cat man.

AV is bothered by the derailment of a thread which he hoped would be serious and calls the derailers names or less than flattering adjectives.

10 people start referencing AV on other threads which he hasn't even posted on, attempting to de-legitimize him completely.

I don't agree with everything the guy says, but quite frankly there is very little constructive conversation on these boards, and the derailment serves to undermine any that could be potentially positive.

That is not on-topic, that's an attempt to derail the thread, and that involves offensive language to some.

Post 5 was Superbelt just dropping a youtube vid of "Conspiracy" to attempt to de-legitimize AV's original post.

And I've questioned the moderation on this board before myself, because literally the same handful of posters engages in willfully derailing threads, making ad hominem attacks, and engaging in "piling-on" that not only deters current posters from even posting here, but is a deterrent for potential posters here. I've received PMs from lurkers who wouldn't dare post on this forum because of all the piling on from the same crew of people that happens, especially to "newbies" who have a specific worldview or perspective on most matters.

These rules are basically enforced upon people who the mods don't like or disagree with, and completely unenforced towards those who the mods like or agree with. When jim or SB unleashes vulgar language towards me, the mods tell me to toughen up. When CHF tells me to F myself repeatedly, I get banned along with him even though you guys would be hard pressed to ever find me dropping a single vulgarity on this board.

All I'm saying is that AV has a point, people shouldn't be posting all over multiple threads smearing and de-legitimizing him. If it's a thread he's posting on, and it's in reference to something he said, it's understandable (it's understandable that people would attempt to smear and belittle others rather than talk about a topic). To randomly name-drop AV and start making jokes at his expense on numerous threads he hasn't even posted on is just gossipy and no one (myself included) has the time, energy, or desire to go around this forum and constantly challenge all of the lame attacks on character, credibility, or integrity that happen on this forum thanks to a certain group of posters.

The mods should enforce the rules for everyone, not just some people. And talking smack about other people (overtly or underhandedly) on multiple threads where they aren't even posting should be frowned upon, because there are probably dozens of other potential posters on this forum that don't even post a thing because of the toxic environment that has been allowed to fester thanks to partial mods and about 10 posters who are obsessed with tearing down others who happen to disagree with them.

AV should have more of a sense of humor sometimes (and so should I) but at a certain point, it's no longer funny and it's toxic.

And it never addresses the original post's content.

My $.02, I don't have a dog in this fight, but I understand where AV is coming from because if you aren't in that little NST clique and you disagree with them, it's no longer fun to post here, it's a full-time job just to keep people from lying about you and smearing you. Even on threads where you didn't even participate.

If someone posts nonsense, they likely will be called out for it. That isn't against any rule. AV couldn't even back up his own thread when SB was asking legit questions in a civil manner. They AV took a page from your martyr playbook and created this persecution thread, which I have little - make that - no patience for.

For the 10,000th time. If KFFL, or NST specifically, is so toxic, please leave. Until then, stop wasting everyone's time with your utter lack of self-awareness and persecution complex. This thread is closed.
