I'm not staying that long, unfortunately...flying in the afternoon before the wedding, and then leaving mid-afternoon the day after.

Seems a waste to fly down there and not stay for a few days at least to enjoy yourself.

Its a destination wedding....I am guessing all-inclusive resort type of situation. Am I right Jim?

I have always enjoyed myself down there (3 times...2 destination weddings and 1 vacation). It can get dicey in certain areas if you aren't paying attention and venture outside of the tourist traps but for the most part its as safe as any place else.

Yep. Still need to make my reservations before we lose the bloc of rooms L&B reserved for us.

A better question is why does a round trip between New York and Australia cost less than a round trip between New York and Paris....what airline are you flying?

probably jetstar jim. 1 dollar oz = 1.05 seppo. US in winter is cheap .
