Eagles interested in Safety Rashad Johnson....

    Per Geoff Mosher on Twitter

    Geoff Mosher @GeoffMosherCSN

Ariz S Rashad Johnson will get some attention on FA market. Great ST player, potential starter. Good for depth. Heard Birds have interest.

He was Adrian Wilsons backup.....but I do love those Bama players.

Sounds like Colt Anderson. However I think its a smart move to sign this guy. Even if he doesn't start having him and McCoy as the backups make your special teams that much better.

He's better than Colt as a safety. He was a 3rd round pick in 2009. Didn't really do anything his first 2 years. Played well in relief the past 2 seasons.

It's possible that Colt Anderson doesn't come back. He's a RFA. The original round tender is $1.33M. He was undrafted so teams wouldn't owe us compensation if they signed him to an offer sheet they didn't match. The 2nd round tender is up to $2.02M. That's too pricey for Colt IMO. Best bet is to sign him to an extension for around $1M a year.

With Miami tagging Randy Starks, Jake Long and Sean Smith are now free agents. I would not be surprised to see us go after one or both of those guys. Long has been a bit overrated but is still a quality tackle. Smith is also a solid player, though he may want more money than he is worth. It sounds like a bunch of corners and tackles are going to hit the market, including some who can actually play.

Jake Long wants $11M a year. He's had injury issues and didn't play well last year. Maybe if his price drops, sure, but if that happens he'll probably re-sign in MIA.

Yeah, from what I have read, his play really dropped off the past two years and he may not be worth the kind of money he expects. We'll see what he is actually offered.
