He's also a better player, and will require less money than a 4 year vet looking for his first big payday. We don't need him at that price.
In no way is Diehl the player that Levitre is. Levitre is probably the best pass blocking OG in football and a top 5 G overall, entering his prime.

For what we need, Diehl is the better choice. Like I said, we don't need a young guard looking for his first big payday, when we can get similar production out of Diehl.
And we don't need a top pass pro RG; we need a road grater.

I'm not sure that's really true on a Peyton Manning lead team(though I have you taking Warford in the 2nd in my mock I'm about to post) and I'm also not really sure that Diehl is that any more. Anyways, you still might be right, Diehl might be a better fit. He's not a better player though, that was my point.

Levitre is gonna cost more then we wanna spend on an OG four our needs. If we got them at the same price then obviously there is no question Levitre. That isn't even a debate. Diehl makes more sense because he is cheaper and adds the depth/starter if needed we are looking for, but I don't see either coming here. Diehl will likely go to an OL who needs a stop gap starter to fill in at a decent price.

I'll conceded Diehl isn't a better overall player. But as far as fit/cost, I'd be much happier with him.
However, if we really did get Warford I'd be pretty damn happy too.
