My guess is Nnamdi takes a monster paycut and stays with the team. I am totally against bringing back Nnamdi barring him taking vet minimum on top of what our cap hit would be if we cut him. The guy was pathetic last season, but considering we haven't cut him yet makes me think they're trying to work on a restructure.

I would absolutely try and solve some of the problem through free agency. If for example we can snag Keenan Lewis and Louis Delmas (injury history will prevent him from getting much money) then it would aleviate "having" to solve these problems in the draft. Both Lewis and Delmas are still young, thus worth going after.

Thats what I want as well I'd like Millner then Elam and in the 3rd round one of those big pigs from UGA to play NT, both at pushing 350

Word is the 49ers are not franchising him. Which should give us a shot. Plus we have Gamble, Fipp and Davis who all know him well.

The draft is pretty hypothetical too..no one knows if Elam will be there in round 2. I personally, dont think he will be.

I think there's a 50% chance Elam is still there in Rd 2 for us. I know Cyprien has picked up a lot of steam recently and may overtake Elam for the 2nd Safety picked. Eric Reid seems to be the forgotten guy in all of this ... not sure why? I was just as impressed (maybe even more) with he as I was with Vacarro who's projected in the 20's.

My guess is they'll give the much maligned Nate Allen a chance to start next to a more physical S addition (Goldson, Eric Reid, whoever).

My question is, what happened to Curtis Marsh? The old regime never really gave him a chance to play. Hoping he can be a serviceable #2 if given the opportunity. He has the tools and at this point needs to get a shot.

I've always like Reid the most. I think Cyprien is right there with him. Elam plays harder than Vaccaro, IMO, but his size is (Height) is not ideal. So, my rating is:
    REID
    CYPRIEN
    ELAM
    VACCARO

Just me. I heard from someone from Texas a couple months ago, saying that Vaccaro doesn't always play to the hilt. Just sayin'.

Glover Quinn and Thomas Moore appear to be potential free agents. Both guys would be interesting targets if true.

ESPN Boston reiterates that free agent SS Pat Chung's days with the Patriots are likely over.
The Pats appear set at safety with Devin McCourty, Steve Gregory and Tavon Wilson. Chung played just two snaps in the AFC Championship game and will be looking for a more direct path to playing time. There's been previous speculation that the safety-needy Eagles could come calling. Chung could be a steal as he's still just 25 years old and showed a physical skill set before falling out of favor in New England.

Chung played his college ball in Oregon.....seems like a logical fit for the Eagles.
