and he has smarts, mobility and accuracy that allows him to do some things that Flacco can't.

Also, as much as Rahim Moore helped him out, Flacco still had made the playoffs and won at least one game every year of his career. He's also just entering his prime. He would have gotten close to this either way, especially with the cap situation of the Ravens.

He tore three ligaments in his shoulder and was forced to go on IR for the rest of the year.

They left a wire in his shoulder after the surgery and it tore clear through the bone forcing him to go on IR again the next year.

Not to belabor the point, but I wouldn't characterize this as a "minor shoulder issue" -- why I included the injuries on the list of things that would have to be different for the comparison to work (IMO).

Not that hard to do when your team only allows 52 points in those 5 games.

Same could be said of winning a SB. I wasn't making an argument based on what I believe he deserved.

He never had arm strength anyway. His best comparison phsycially was a guy like Cade McNown.

I dont' think realizing you have a pop gun arm is "smarts" more than it is self awareness.

    two totally different things IMO.

Come on dude. He has a pop gun arm.

He coudlnt' even reach Torrey Smith on some of those big throws Flacco hits him with.

Dennis Pitta would be a much richer man if Smith was in Balt instead of SF.

You're wrong on this Q sorry. He doesn't have a cannon, but he's above average and there's been no issues with his arm strength since he recovered from the second shoulder surgery. If you want to talk about his accuracy on some deep balls, that's a different story because his deep ball accuracy outside the numbers is woefully inconsistent. There were times he put a sideline deep throw 5 yards out of bounds, but no problem getting it that far down the field.

If the ball floats. That's a problem. Everyone says his arm is limited. It's not even average, forget being above average.

links please. I'd love to know who is saying it's below average.
