I tried to sound positive in the general forum but a 3rd is a ****ing joke and I'll be pissed if that's the case.
I'll also be VERY surprised. There's no ****ing way NFL GMs can think he's worth a 3rd with SF's situation. You're basically paying to get him before he hits the market as a release. Even a 4th wouldn't be good tbh since it's the 2nd pick in the round.

If the Chiefs win more than 8 games next year, no one will care. There could be a pick from SF in there too.
All I'm pretty certain about is that the Chiefs have preliminary agreed to terms with a pretty good QB.
That's the kind of thinking that's doomed the Chiefs for 3 decades. Winning 8 games is NOT good. Not unless you're doing it while improving other positions and, most importantly, legitimately grooming a legitimate future QB prospect, i.e. not some scrub like Stanzi but someone you actually invest in.

The irrational portion of this philosophy isn't bringing in Cassel, Green, Grbac, Bono, insert-name-here.
The irrational portion comes from the Hunt's overall philosophy :
Find a game managing back up QB that doesn't cost a ton of money ( Collins, Huard, Gannon ) and won't cause locker room drama.
The Chiefs are an air rifle. Teams like Philadelphia and Green Bay are automatic machine guns.
