    Lattimore

A while back someone posted the Lattimore question; where would you take him? They just did a feature on him and looks like he might be ready this year. Supposedly a great kid and obviously hard worker. If you have the chance to take a kid who was a sure-fire top 10 pick by trading back in the first, or moving up in the 2nd, do the Steelers think about it? I think DE is deep enough to take in the 2nd round.

Someone is going to take a chance on this kid.

Personally I hope that the Steelers are not the team taking a chance on Lattimore in the first couple rounds. Too big a risk in my book and we have too many other holes to fill. Good enough RBs can be found in later rounds. Only reason to go RB early is if there is a certified stud available - with his knee issues Lattimore is no longer that level of a back.

As of today, with all his knee issues, it wouldn't be me before early 4 or maybe, MAYBE, late 3 if he really just knocked the interviews/his Pro Day out of the park.

I will allow, of course, that if he's right he'd probably be fantastic in a ZBS, but those injuries are no joke. Just can't see taking him with a premium pick when they have so many issues to address. Big time risk, no matter how much I like him.

Andrews is really behind this kid and raving about his recovery time. I hear what you guys are saying, but Peterson couldn't stay healthy in college. I know his injury was significant, but the other knee and not like he's injury-prone, freak hit. What I like most is he's considered a fantastic kid and he'll work his arse off. Definitely the anti Mendy. I also think he's a better prospect than McGahee. That is why I think he has a shot in the 1st.

based on his Pro Day I could see the Steelers taking Eddie Lacy in the 1st....

Lattimore.....that would be a tough selection to make....definitely for me LATER in the Draft.

Unless he falls significantly I don't see Lattimore as an option, to many questions as to his health.
I like Lacy, strong powerful guy but he misses holes a bit to much and is a below average blocker.
Christian Michael is another one, he blew up the combine, top 5 in most categories, through the roof vertical, big, strong but again injury issues so depends on where he is taken.
and as the theme seems to be I also like G. Bernard but again injury concerns.
    L. Bell could be interesting depending on where he goes, big, powerful, but has to get better as blocker and better field vision.

I like Michael as a one-cut guy more than I probably should. He sets up defenders and uses is blockers pretty well. My concern with him isn't the injuries so much(although that's there too), it's the reported ball security issues.

Still like Stepfan Taylor in a ZBS as a third/fourth best of this crop, as far as runners go. He isn't going to outrun anyone, but as a one-cut/"see the hole, hit the hole" type? I'll take it. Runs hard and has a mean stiff arm. Pretty good receiver/blocker too.

doesn't Michael have some issues off the field?

Not sure. I think he had injury issues of his own, but have no idea about off the field stuff.

I thought Taylor disappeared at times, but I imagine he would pick up the offense pretty quickly.

Michael had on field issues not off. He got in a fight in one game early in the year and was ejected. He and Sumlin had it out early in the year, but that worked out over time. As good as he is, he was in a very crowded backfield so his playing time was here and there. If his head was there honestly he'd be just about the perfect back for us, but don't think it is there just yet so he'd be a risk factor due to it, but he had no off field problems. He blew up the statistical categories and onfield drills but they the idiot supposedly slept through 2 interview sessions one day, so pretty much undid everything he accomplished at the combine. Someone will take a flyer on him and get a very good back, but it'll take time I think to get over the immaturity.

Ouch! How does that happen? You go in for basically a job interview and blow it like that? Could you be more stupid? Doesn't say much for his future attendance in meetings and film study.

Probably end up with the Bungs. They love getting guys like that for bargain basement prices.
