What are the odds the Broncos go DT with the 28th pick?

Based on the way the talent seems to be falling - I'd say it looks like at least a 50% chance.

I agree (what else can I say, he's the POTM). Not as much as need as it appears there are at least 6 DTs with 1st round grades. Of course a lot can change in 2 months, but as of today for the Broncos I think supply meets demand. 77% probability.

I think we will trade out again. If we stay at 28 , I'd handicap it at 55-45 in favor.

I'm not a Hankins fan. Low motor, IMO.

Zero. Denver will not be looking to draft a DT early unless someone falls and is just too good to pass up alal a Warren Sapp type fall

The team needs more offense not more defense. It's built right now to play with the lead so Denver needs more playmakers on offense and a 3rd down chainmover

I bet this draft will have more offense than defense by a 2 to 1 margin

Probably 25% at best. There are a lot of other positions the Broncos could feasibly draft at and there is a lot of depth at those positions. Also Fox and JDR both throughout their careers have been shy to use resources (high draft picks or FA spending) on the DT position. Elway also continued that trend last year letting Bunkley walk for a cheaper option in Bannan.

The Broncos could really go a number of ways with this pick. With the exception of a few positions/players there's not many guys they could pick that would really surprise me.

I don't think so. I think it was telling when JE said that there wasn't much difference in prospects between #10 and #28. I think we stay where we are this time around. Maybe move up from #58 if someone we love slides, but I like us to stay at 28.

The reason I think DT is a pretty high probability is that the sheer number of quality DTs that might be there outnumbers other positions.

I'm still liking the idea of OG Jonathan Cooper, so I'm not stuck on a DT. Just think it has a higher probability due to BPA at a position of need.

I've actually given this a great deal of thought ( hard to imagine where I'm concerned I know ).

I think teams 28-32 are in a better position to trade than KC is at #1. The 1st round QBs suck when expending that high a pick 1-20. If QBs fall like I expect them to , the teams needing QBs will want to get back into the end of round 1 to stay ahead of other teams needing a QB.We might just be in the spot to get the best deal especially when you consider our needs.
For example, say we could get an extra 2nd. Does it really matter if we get Cooper at 28 (and overpay for a guard,IMHO) ,or fall back in the 2nd and get Warford ?

All well and good in thory, Greg. But only 2 teams have 2nd rounders to trade, Cincy and Miami. Both have their QBOTF and Cincy picks too low.
