Good point. Since surrendering wasn't an option, he shot himself in the head, or at least, that's what the thugs are saying but obviously, he was either forced by the police into committing suicide or they're lying about it.

You exaggerate. There were lots of witnesses. He could have walked out with his hands on his head.

How long he would have lasted in custody, and how much he would have endured off the books while he did -- those are different matters.

It is. There has been efforts for decades to dumb down the population to where we are now in order to justify more govt control. When people are fully self-sufficient, moral and active in their communities, they don't need big govt to tell them what to do or how to think. Right now this is the calm before the storm it seems. How long we have until the nation is in turmoil is anyone's guess. 5 years? 20 years? But there is a bigger plan coming. The govt is gearing up it's "homeland" equipment and it's not for defense, but rather control of the public.

And you shouldn't necessarily blame the people as this is what was intended by those at the top for a very long time now. There has been a systematic dismantling of individualism and an incremental move towards collectivism. Globally in economics, politics, military and eventually local planning via Agenda-21.

I love the drive of the tweens and generation Y has always challenged bs. But X and baby boomers are a faaaar cry removed from what made this nation great. What happened to our country? How are you not ashamed to be known as the genetation that allowed. Warrentless wiretaping, runaway banker fruad, police militerization, prison industrian complex and military industrial complexs. Good god. You should all be ashamed, and embarrassed to call yourselves american.
    Agreed.

The fact you share a title with, Dr King, Fred Douglas, Thomas jefferson, thomas payne, ben franklin. The powerful voice of the civil rights, womens rights and human rights activist. The men who stormed beaches and jumped from unproven aircraft, those who marched on foriegn soil to theur deaths and died protecting FREEDOM. And you all just piss it away! Good god people, what do we have if we dont preserve EVERY right afforded by our founding document, even if it protecys those that we hate the most. Wake the FVC# UP!!!
That is what we've lost. The reverence and true feeling of obligation to those who died to give us freedoms and the power to make choices in our own lives. Liberty and freedom are not just nice terms for political feel-good speeches. They mean something. We've lost the essence of that meaning. People have become comfortable and have forgotten what the signs of tyranny look like. But keep your head up man. Millions of Americans are waking up. They are noticing things aren't quite right. The fact that millions of Americans doubt/suspicious of the Sandy Hook event means that people are becoming vigilant. They are seeing something is wrong.
As defined by the Official Terrorism Training For Law Enforcement:
    What Is Domestic Terrorism?
Extreme force and violence perpetrated by
the people government of a country, within that country,
for the purpose of coercing its government and population public
    into modifying its behavior"

The stories I've read said they kept the fire dept. on standby in case the fire spread, but with ammo going off all around, thats not exactly a safe condition for the fire dept.

And I might be gleeful too, if they just shot a close friend and co-worker less than an hour ago.

    My position really hasn't changed.

I'm hope they keep pressure on the police in question until they admit that they caused the fire, but preservation of life wasn't part of the game any longer and Dorner was not entitled to due process at that point.
