I don't see how this article is in any way relevant when concerning the chances of a 49ers Super Bowl next year.

Gotta agree with RR on this. Past history means nothing to the 49ers next year. They have the talent to get back to it and win. Obviously considering only one out of 32 teams will do that aren't great.

The article mentions several of those teams either lost their starting QB early in the season or had a crappy one. If the starting QB for a team gets hurt it rarely indicates long term success for that year.

Talent wise the 49ers should be right back in it next year. Whether they can avoid the injury bug enough to do so is another thing but once again previous history of OTHER teams means nothing.

Some people will make the claim that the SB loss is too much for people to overcome mentally but I'm confident that THIS team isn't so mentally weak that they'll completely break down all over.
Draft well and then coach em up!

the defense has be addressed in fa and the draft

the lack of depth on the line really hurt late on, everybody was worn down and injured

the dbs situation at safety has to be resolved, woodson would be a nice stop gap at fs for a year.

i really feel that this offense is coming together nicely and is ready to explode.
