I do like Matt Scott but as a 4th rounder, not so much with our 3rd.

Dixon I'm okay with as a backup

He has an ok arm, nothing special here -- not much zip

He looks to be able to throw some nice passes -- some against not so good coverage, some are real nice, though once again I'm not really blown away from any of it. Also these are his highlights where he better look good.

I just don't see him as NFL material, plus he'll be 30 by September. Though I credit you for digging deep and trying to find a gem, I just personally don't see him as a NFL caliber player.

Alex Smith is due a 1m dollar roster bonus in March, so he could be released or dealt pretty soon. Personally, Id rather sign him as a FA to just a 1 or 2 year deal. Maybe 4-5m each year but he may get a much better offer elsewhere. His current salary is just too high imo for the Eagles to trade for him but someone might.

Watched the Lulay vid ... I don't see an NFL player there, sorry Wingman.

I think if Chip wants a more mobile QB than Foles to run his O, he needs to decide that early because Foles to KC for their 3rd round pick makes a great deal of sense for both parties. Alex Smith will cost a pick and will be looking to cash in; Foles is a Reid pick, knows the Offense and showed potential in his first year as a starter ... plus he's signed for pennies. To me Foles to KC makes much more sense than Alex Smith.

i like my back ups being able to play and contribute when called upon. I don't think Dixon can do that. Therefore, i do not want him.

I mean, i'm optimistic and all, but some of you fellas are WILDLY optimistic and would be laughing your ass off if another team's fans were touting these QBs like y'all are.

I think we all have to realize the type of changes happening here on both sides of the ball. The switch to a quicker offense and the switch to 3-4 defense requires different types of players in many positions. While everyone would live to rebuild the roster in one offseason, the fact is that we may have to make due with marginal players until we can get the quality we all want at all positions. That's why it is really important to look at non traditional outlets like the CFL and UDFAs to give some guys with potential an opportunity.

This is a huge rebuild that isn't going to happen overnight.
