Cardinals haven't sniffed the playoffs since they last had a franchise QB. They have used number ones on the likes of- Matt Leinart, Levi Brown, Beannie Wells, Dan Williams..... The package for Jay Cutler included 2 #1s. Manning just signed a big dollar deal at 35. I'll guarantee Arizona would not hang up the phone. They might try to negotiate a bit, but they would be very interested in acquiring a franchise QB.

Of course they'd be interested, but not for 7 premium draft picks. That's friggen delusional.

Based on what? Name the last QB with Roethlisberger's resume that got traded at age 30 or younger. What do you think it would take to make the Rooney's make the move? For reference- Saints traded 8 picks for Ricky Williams and then flipped him 3 years later for 4 picks, Minnesota gave up 8 picks for Herschel Walker....

In a time when we are needing to shore up certain positions, OL, DL, LB, WR, RB and secondary you don't downgrade the QB position and plain and simple in this draft and in FA
there is no QB that is equivalent or an upgrade to Ben and what he gives this organization.

I am not opposed to bringing in a young QB to develop who has starter capability. Honestly last year in J. Johnson I thought we might have that but obviously the FO thought otherwise, maybe they saw something we didn't. However we need to bring a guy in this year to replace the aged Batch and Leftwich. I would replace both.

For now though Ben is our starter and I would figure he should be for a few more years. The problem is we need to shore up the OL first and foremost which should help the running game, do that and Ben won't miss near as many games.
