#7 dropped for Michigan today... 3* TE Ian Bunting. He was previously thought to be a ND lean. His offer list is more indicative of a 4* guy...Michigan, ND, OSU, Oregon, USC.

TEs came off the board in droves. UM picked up Ian Bunting, and later that day ND picked up Nick Weishar (3-star guy from IL, perfect fit for the "flex" TE role Kelly loves).

Then Jeb Blazevich jumped on board at Georgia (4-star from NC), and Daniel Helm pledged to Tennessee (4-star guy from IL). All in the span of about 10 hours. Pretty crazy.

Michigan also picked up their 2nd WR, 3* instate WR, Moe Ways (insert pun here).

Also of note, 5* DB Jabrill Peppers, who has been rumored to be a strong Michigan lean after his visit, is now talking about deciding on his college soone,r rather than later, as he had planned. I don't remember the last time Michigan pulled in a top 2 or 3 player overall.

Five-star RB Elijah Hood, the #12 overall player according to Rivals, just popped for the Irish.

    HUGE pickup for ND.

Michigan picked up #8 today... 3* OT Juwan Bushell-Beatty. This is potentially important as he is teammates with Jabrill Peppers.

Moten is a really good player.

Notre Dame got #9 today, OT Quenton Nelson. #66 player overall in the country, according to Rivals.

Christian McCaffrey, son of Ed, committed today to Stanford. Most likely will be considered the top recruit in Colorado this year.

Maryland gets commitment from 4* RB Johnny Thomas. He's a big, power back type.

LSU picked up commitment #10 in the form of D'haquille Williams (6'3"/210lbs) out of Gulf Coast CC. Top rated JUCO WR in the country. Great pickup for LSU. There's some crazy good talent in the state of Louisiana this year (Fournette, Noil, Robinson, Quinn). If they can get 3 of those 4, look out!

Michigan was able to steal 3* instate DE Lawrence Marshall away from MSU and OSU. He had previously committed to OSU in February but backed off a couple days later. Since then, he has visited both Michigan and Michigan State extensively but was thought to be a State lean.

FYI, Marshall is a 4* on 3 of the 4 main services which explains the massive levels of Sparty "We didn't want him anyways" vitriol coming out after the commitment. He's an extremely raw boom/bust type recruit. He only weighs around 220lbs right now so he's all potential, which probably explains why Rivals has him so low. The other services have him quite highly rated.

    Scout - 4*, #12 DE #89 Ovr
    Rivals - 3*, #19 WDE
    ESPN - 4*, 83, #12 DE #107 Ovr
    24/7 - 4*, 91, #12 WDE #207 Ovr

Marhsall has offers from Michigan, Florida, Iowa, Michigan State, Mississippi, Nebraska, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Pitt, Tennessee among others. He had interest from Notre Dame but no offer. That's the offer list of a top 100-200 recruit.

I'm aware of that. I just like to maintain consistency...I link to the Rivals site because I think that, generally, they are the best at ranking the players. I don't want to just cherry pick which site to link to in order to give our recruits the most stars.

That said, Marshall's offer list tends to be more indicative of a 4 star.

I like to see all the ratings personally. "Consensus 4*" has become a thing in recent years with more and more services and people following recruiting.

Oh, I check all the ratings. Again, here, I just link the Rivals site for simplicity/consistency sake.

Rivals tends not to update their rankings as often as the other sites. He'll likely gain his 4th star at the next update, based on offer list alone.
