    The Keepers

Just taking a look at the roster and with a totally new staff, you gotta figure alot of roster turnover. So who stays and who goes and who is on the bubble???

QB. Foles. Cheap and productive. Regardless of what else they do, you gotta figure he is on the roster. I expect two new QBs.
RB. Shady. Can't see him not being around. The rest of the guys will need to audition. As good as Brown was at times, you can't play in the NFL if you can't hang onto the ball.
WR. Maclin, Djax. At least for one more year, these guys should be here. Avant, Johnson and Cooper could be around, but who knows
TE. Celek. They could use another, but Celek has been good and steady.
OL. Peters, Herremans, Mathis, all seem too good to not find a place. Kelce and the 2nd year guys seem like they have a good chance, but who knows?

DL. Graham, Cox and Curry seem like givens. Cole is older and did not produce last year. Especially if they go 3-4 he may be out. The rest look like journeyman (Jenkins, Dixon, Patterson, Tapp, Landri,Hunt) who may or may not stick.
LB. Kendricks should be around. Ryans is older and expensive. Not a given. The rest are unproven, who knows?
Safety. Best they can hope for is a chance to compete.
CB. Boykins would seem to be a given. Asomugh too expensive. DRC a FA and the rest unproven.

So 13 guys that you can figure should be there.

Chip Kelly will watch enough film to know that he should keep Avant around. Sure hands, can get open and move the chains. There's a place for that in all offenses and until we get another TE, we have to have Avant here to do that work.

Dixon probably stays and would be the only potential NT that we currently have. Thornton has played well enough to hang around in some capacity.

Ryans could go, but we are weak and without depth at that position so you'd have to keep him for now. Problem is all the guys are short and you can't play a 3-4 like that.

Boykins stays but his lack of speed was pretty apparent. Maybe being a year in now gets him moving faster.

Until we know 3-4 vs 4-3 the front 7 is a bit difficult to figure.
