Finally! A place for Walsh and Cheezy to call home

Here it is boys, your dream come true!!

    http://www.iiicitadel.com/

The Citadel will be a small planned community of 3,500 - 7,000 families of patriotic Americans who voluntarily choose to live together in accordance with Thomas Jefferson's ideal of Rightful Liberty: Rightful liberty is unobstructed action according to our will within limits drawn around us by the equal rights of others.

In essence, Rightful Liberty means that neighbors keep their noses out of other neighbors' business, that neighbors live and let live.

Marxists, Socialists, Liberals, and Establishment Republicans may find that living within our Citadel Community is incompatible with their existing ideology and preferred lifestyles.

Our children will be educated instead of indoctrinated.

We intend to purchase at least 2,000 acres, although preferably 3,000 acres for the Citadel Community. A minimum of one square mile will be protected within our wall and towers (640 full acres!). Ideally, up to two full square miles will be protected behind the walls (1,280 acres)!!

Every Patriot selected to live within the Citadel Community will voluntarily agree to follow the footsteps of our Founding Fathers by swearing to one another our lives, our fortunes and our Sacred Honor to defend one another and Liberty against all enemies, foreign and domestic. All Patriots selected to live within the Citadel Community agree to abide all Constitutional laws, both Federal and State.
    Nice little layout...

    Now there ARE some conditions.....

    http://www.iiicitadel.com/patriotagreement.html

Three: Every able-bodied Patriot aged 13 and older governed by this Agreement shall annually demonstrate proficiency with a handgun of choice by hitting a man-sized steel target at 25 yards with open sights at the Citadel range. Each Resident shall have 10 shots and must hit the target at least 7 times.
Four: Every able-bodied Patriot of age within the Citadel will maintain one AR15 variant in 5.56mm NATO, at least 5 magazines and 1,000 rounds of ammunition. The responsibility for maintaining functional arms and ammunition levels for every member of the household shall fall to the head of household. Every able-bodied Patriot will be responsible for maintaining a Tactical Go Bag or Muster Kit to satisfy the Minuteman concept. Details TBD and posted elsewhere.

Five: Every household within the Citadel will remain stocked with sufficient food, water, and other preparedness essentials (to be detailed elsewhere) to sustain the needs for every member of the household for a duration of one year.
Eight: All Patriots, who are of age and are not legally restricted from bearing firearms, shall agree to remain armed with a loaded sidearm whenever visiting the Citadel Town Center. Firearm shall be on-the-person and under the control of the Resident, not merely stored in a vehicle.
    Here is your application!

I think Q6 may reduce their application pool a bit.

I love this FAQ question, BTW....

Won't The Federal Government or Military Simply Blow Up Your Town?

Why would they? We are a law-abiding group of people minding our own business. We are conducting our affairs in an open and transparent manner. The Citadel Community is designed to be a safe haven and a major tourist destination. The U.S. Government does not make a habit of blowing up law abiding citizens and tourists on American soil.

Idaho. Why am I not surprised?

Quaint. Preparing for siege warfare in an era of aerial strikes.

Gotta protect yourself from all those battering rams, trebuchets, ballistas and catapults.

Also, one way out at the main gate. Good plan, until a fire starts near the main gate.
The consistent factor of all of your dissatisfying relationships and failures is you.

Well in fairness they are trying to live a Jeffersonian lifestyle, which apparently was quite similar to medieval feudal life.

Why would I move somewhere that will just end up being Waco part II?

The ATF tried to bust up on the Branch Davidians because even though they had zero evidence of illegal or modified guns, an agent said that people who bought the same specific equipment usually made illegal or modified guns.

So 75+ people died at the hands of Janet Reno, Bill Clinton and our government agencies, and for what. Something they couldn't even prove they posessed after they set the whole base on fire.

The main problem with "commune" scenarios like this are the leadership figures. They might have great intentions, but all it takes is one wacky leader to take liberties with religious texts and they're all drinking kool-aid or serving up their wives and turning celibate because they have no idea what else is out there.

I like the idea of a community that's gated and has the acreage and tries to do things better than our present society, but don't care for their obsession with guns.

Pretty sure I know how that's going to turn out.

    That's a reasonable response.

I'm not going to have a thread on the Branch Dividian cult. You are free to go read up on the stuff that came out after the siege and all of the ironclad "evidence" they had against Koresh. At worst he was a polygamist preying on the gullibility of dozens of people and running a cult.

And basically our government agencies killed women and children US citizens because of what was supposedly "illegal ownership" of guns, which were all found to be legally purchased and stockpiled in case the value of guns went up during a government gun-grab.

Which you can see from today's gun sales, is 100% validated as a moneymaking scheme.

So based on actual tangible evidence, the worst charge anyone could have brought against Koresh was polygamy.

They supposedly wanted to save the kids from abuse, and then they CS gassed the whole compound and set it on fire and shot down from a blackhawk helicopter onto the compound.

Sorry, I'm not buying the bullcrap. And this little Citadel idea could easily turn out the same way. Particularly given their insistence on gun ownership and use. Which is the exact official reason why the ATF went after the BDs- legal ownership of a stockpile of weapons.

They are preparing for the zombie apocalypse. We laugh now, but when the zombies come, they will be perfectly safe.

The wacko thing never would have happened if Davey just allowed the ATF to exercise their legally procured warrant.
