It was actually my original affinity for the original BSG that kept me away from the new BSG at first... The plot line of the original is fine, but yes, it has been rendered "unwatchable" now by the vastly superior newer series..
That's funny. I was very excited when the original BSG came out if only because of the new wave of special effects that became popular then but after 5 or 6 shows with the exact same effect, I lost interest.
Getting back to this topic, which of these series has better games? The original Knight of the Old Republic is one of my all time favorite games, but generally I think I have preferred games in the Star Trek universe. Loved Judgement Rights back in the day. Love the games based on Star Fleet Battles too.
I will say this, I do not understand why the Original X-Wing has not been updated and more sequels made. Truly a great game IMO.
As for the "Caprica" series...is it even worth watching?
I watched a few episodes and was happy to stop. It gives backstory on Bill Adama, on the Cylons, etc., but I didn't think it was worth it.
I don't know if they ever made anything out of the coincidence that young Bill Adama was connected to the inventor of the Cylons.
APF doesn't come in screaming at others about how stupid they are. APF doesn't spam NST with the same tired topic 30 times a month. APF doesn't link to some kook in his mom's basement telling you how to, "Be afraid. Be very afraid" of the world falling down around you. And, when APF is proven wrong, he acknowledges he made a mistake and moves on, rather than harping about "sheeple."

KOTOR was an excellent computer game. I can't even think of any decent Star Trek games. Too tied into the character I think.
I just read through the Caprica episode plot summaries on Wikipedia. If you liked BSG, it's probably worth the time.
