    Karma is a B

The cheap shot specialist (punching Sherman post Hawks victory over Skins) that is named a cowardly Trent Williams had Karma bite him recently. Williams was fined an embarrassingly low $7,875 and suspended for zero games next year. If a guy gets fined more for accidentally hitting a guy in the head cause that guy ducks down suddenly I think Williams fine should at least match that.

But I digress ..lets get to the good part.

Redskins LT Trent Williams was given and passed two concussion tests after being struck in the head at a Honolulu nightclub.
Williams was involved in an incident on Thursday night that saw him get tasered in the back and hit in the head with a champagne bottle. Stitches were required, and Williams has been forced from the Pro Bowl. After passing the concussion tests, this should be the last we hear of the incident.

Definitely glad he's not seriously hurt but this does bring a smile to my face.

Meh, without knowing the details of what happened all you can say is there is a developing pattern of Williams being involved in violence. Seems to me he got worse than he gave out but simply the facts of the case are unknown.

I agree the league needs to rationalize the their fine schedule however as a recent fine for wearing your socks too low was greater than the fine given for hitting another player after the game was over. Meanwhile the whole defenceless receiver and blindside block scheme needs to be revisited b/c the fines given out are inconsistent with any legitimate attempt to cause an injury. At present it seems as if there are no real guidelines for fines and the fines are totally some form of palm tree justice if that.

If the punch was during the game, the fine would have been much higher. I'm not sure why that should make a difference. It should have been way higher, when, like jammer said, Frank Gore got fined 10,000 for wearing his socks too low. Crazy.

I thought it was the Seattle player who was mouthing off to a Redskin after the Seahawks won the game, and this Seattle player has a history of doing this? Maybe they fined the Redskin for NOT connecting with the punch good enough...

Naw, Sherman was congratulating Redskins players on a great season and Williams inexplicably walked up to him, said he was going to punch him, and did.

There's actually video because Sherman was mic'ed up. He goes up to one guy and says "helluva game man" and then Williams walks up and punches him.

Sherman does run his mouth a lot, but all he was doing in that situation was exchanging pleasantries with the Skins.

Come on RA, I know you read the forums. The video of the incident was posted here within a couple days of the game.

Last I checked, punching someone in the face was called assault. Unbelievably bogus.

Oh, it was more like a bitch-slap between two friends who were jawwing at each other the entire game over stuff that went back to their previous meeting last season...

This below appears to be the real Pro Bowl story here and Williams was apparently assaulted. His punch of Sherman was blameworthy on his part and somewhat weird in punishment.
