Huh? I seem to recall you complaining about police misconduct against you moreso than just about anybody else on here? Maybe you're just being sarcastic.

75% of Americans want criminal punishments for anyone who sells a firearm to someone who has not passed a criminal background check.
I would believe that. I fall in that category myself, but how can it be retroactive? Are they really talking about confiscating AR-15's that were legally purchased? I think they might meet armed resistance from some nuts out there, which is what scares me - a powder keg type reaction that could spiral to who knows where. And what makes it slippery is... if they don't confiscate these weapons, how is it fair that some have them while others cannot? It is no doubt a sticky situation.

The only people talking about confiscation are the fear mongerers on the right. (Note:I'm speaking about publicly known proposals by elected officials)

What is being proposed is that any future sales would need to be cleared through a background check system. You would not be allowed to sell assault rifles.

Would that mean that if you owned one and you died, it would have to be turned into the government? Or could you will it to somebody? Would they then have to pass the background check? I don't see how they'll ever get these things out of circulation.

Good question. I doubt the legislation is that fleshed out yet.

    On the record.

Nah, ive had an "evolution" on my stance toward LE. i Sold my ar-15 all my 5.56 ammo and now just carry a Revolver that im currently getting a license to carry.

I now just participate politically in firearms discussion and Have no need to complicate my life. I use my vote, and social media to push for rights.

I sold my ar-lower, my 100 rd mags to local gun shops and am now without assualt rifles.

Btw, in addition to the 1.6 billion hollowpoint 5.56 rounds dhs purchased last aug, they purchased 7,000 fully automatic m-16 classified assualt rifles within the last month. 2+2=4 seems like we americans are addicted to ignoring facts, just to have the ability of outrage or shock when stuff happens. I dunno what but i got a bad feeling about 2013.

Nows the time to be smart, i dont need a mini waco drama over a damn rifle. I can always fight with my vote to legally restore my right if a ban passes. But if everyone gets into a firefight with the fuz right on top of them they are a damn fool. And as one yputiber says, we can replace a rifle, but we cannot replace YOU. BE SMART people.

Btw ive posted on this site for years, ive never been a doom and gloom person, but people religious or not. The days ahead arent gonna be pretty. I advise anyone who doesnt know christ, to at least give it a try, read one book, attend one more sermon or talk to someone about god. Beleive or not peeps. It looks like crap is goin down.

So is Chris Kyle getting killed by gunfire not unlike the actor who played the Marlboro Man dying of lung cancer? Just throwing in out there to stir schitt up.

Kyle, a true hero was murdered by a lunatic. The actor who played the marlboro man killed himself. Or the tobacco companies did if you're into the whole blame somebody else routine for stupidity.
