I worked the graveyard shift for years and it sucks. You'll never get the sleep you need and if you do it only means you do nothing, but Work, Shower, Eat, Work. First it's really tough to go right to sleep when you get home because your body restless from working and needs time to settle down. For me that took about 2 to 2.5 hours before I could lay down and get decent sleep. What compounds the problem is your off days where your sleeping at night when you're normally working. If you sleep at night on your days off your body will never get used of working night shift. So it's best even on your days off that you stay up all or at least most of the night and sleep during the day. I could never do that, but my brother-in-law has worked night shift for 12 years and he' the one who told me that it works if you keep your body thinking day is night and night is day by always being awake and sleeping at the same times. My advise find a new job that is normal hours.
