Broncos | Expect offense to improve
Mon, 28 Jan 2013 15:13:56 -0800
Denver Broncos executive vice president of football operations John Elway said he expects the offense to improve with QB Peyton Manning entering his second year with the team and also expects Manning to improve his play. "He's much more comfortable with being in the organization," Elway said, "and we think we'll continue to see the growth. There were a lot of unanswered questions for him in that first year and he got a lot of them answered. We know what he's got now is good. We saw what he could do this year. It's only going to get better."

Broncos | Understand they need mix of youth, experience on roster
Mon, 28 Jan 2013 15:11:36 -0800
Denver Broncos executive vice president of football operations John Elway said he would like the team to have a lot of young players they can develop on the roster but understands that the team also needs veteran players on the roster. "We're always going to be talking about decisions where we're trying to stay young and develop a guy, as opposed to a proven veteran. Coaches like the experience, and we'll always sit down and have those discussions and come to a decision that is the best thing for us. You want to have that youth for a variety of reasons, but I think you have to have a mix of both. It's always an individual situation, with each player. I would love to be young and good, but I think you've got to have the right mix," Elway said.
