    Pay to Play

    Hi Everyone,

I hope everyone had a great holiday and is enjoying the NFL playoffs!

I have been thinking recently about how we can make our league even better than it already is and the solution I came up with is pay to play. Since our commish asked us to help out with the league costs I was thinking why not make it $25.00 a person to play in the league? My thinking is it would make the league more competitive and give the champ more than just bragging rights. By charging $25.00 per person it would create a $400.00 pot. We would then take $70.00 from that to pay for the league costs. Then with the remaining $330.00 we could divide it up amongst the champ, runner up, the commish and the team with the best regular season record. I was thinking it could be divided up as follows: $50.00 for the runner up, $50.00 for the best regular season record, $200.00 for the champ and $30.00 for the commish since he does a ton to keep the league running smoothly. What does everyone think?

Hehe, I appreciate the sentiment, but I dont need to be paid. Besides, that would just be $5 more than my buy-in. =P

At any rate, I'm not a gambler. I know people who put up $500+ to join money leagues. I've got no interest in that, but I'd be fine with a small pot like this. I'm actually in another league like this, where we pay like $30 each season.

One thing I love about the league is it is free (dont mind paying for site). If everyone else is in I would be too as I love the league but I would say no.
