You never know, but you're probably right. Johnson will move up the boards after this week at Mobile.
True true. I'm assuming he does a bang up job at Mobile and then blows people away at Indy...those former TEs-turned-LTs always seem to go high. As long as they don't draft Pugh at 20, I'm good with it.

I'm also not a Pugh fan at all. He looks slow and reportedly has pretty short arms. No thanks.

Neither of them fall to us in my opinion. Then we're stuck with someone like Fisher. I'll take either Warmack or Barrett
i wouldn't call landing Fisher "getting stuck with." and i don't think he falls out of the top 10 anyway, particularly after the Senior Bowl measurements and practices.
Joeckel, of course, is a top-5 pick. Johnson likely goes 10-15. Fluker probably goes 12-18 just based on potential (Tyron Smith went #9 in 2011 based on his athleticism and measurements). Warmack is a wild card of sorts; he's top-10 as a football player, but guards usually don't go that high (Mike Iupati went #17 in 2010 and Steve Hutchinson at the same spot in 2001).
i'm a Barrett fan myself, but i like him a little closer to the top of the second round.
Your Chicago Bears: still learning about this newfangled thing called the "forward pass."

Agree on all of this. Except Warmack might be top 5 talent, and I see no way he makes it out of the top 15. I prefer Fisher over Johnson, but don't think we'll have a shot at Fisher. This is an outstanding o-line draft, even without Matthews and Lewan.
I keep hearing DJ Fluker will be limited to RT or G. Can't imagine he's gone before 20 if that's the case.
Yeah, Fluker doesn't have the foot speed to be a LT, IMO. I actually think he'd be better at guard. Depending on what happens in FA, Fluker could be an option at 20. Because if we go after someone like Jake Long, Fluker could help solidify the interior of the line, IMO. I also love Jonathan Cooper as a guard. Probably one of the most athletic guards in the entire draft. He doesn't have the strength of Warmack, but he's solid and has tremendous feet. He can pull with ease and makes it look effortless at times. He probably needs to add a little weight, but his asset is his athletic ability.

I keep thinking we end up with Cooper if we stay at O-line with the first pick. That or trade back and take Barrett Jones. Which I would be fine with as well. Fisher is out of reach now, as is likely Lane Johnson. Which kind of sucks. Was starting to warm up to the idea of him. I'm starting to think we go TE with that first pick just the way things are starting to shape up. Though, a lot can change between now and April.

I really, REALLY hope we take care of business via FA and get ourselves 1 STUD for this offensive line. Its needed in the worst way. TE I think would be a wasted pick in the 1st round because there are far too many other positions we could add youth to that would make much more sense here. (MLB, Offensive Line for example)
I know we probably won't have a ton of cap space but landing 1 top tier LT, and a stud TE via FA and focusing on the draft for someone like MLB Ogletree Georgia, Kyle Long OT Oregon in the draft IMO would be a much better way to address our concerns. JMO
