I feel like crap that it went down that way, but I've been trying to make moves the past two days to make cap space and finally had to cut bait and move on with Kruger. Was hoping to get something for Hawk and Woodson and dump their whole salaries, but couldn't make it work. I have another reason for waiting, which I'll keep to myself for now. I do feel bad for it.

Shtt Ellis, you screwed the passrushing market up with that last minute maneuver. Colts were almost out of it! I'm getting hit now with the ricochet.

Sorry- I have a ton of cap space for the Colts, but can't seem to get a single player I'm after.

No worries. Half the fun is losing a guy you wanted and figuring out what to do next.

I've seen some crazy overpays in these things over the years but I think $7m for Donald Thomas might just take the cake.

I got desperate after losing out on every other guard on the market. Who knows? Some chump may still chose to bid me up.

Sucks I've missed a couple days. Glad I at least got a couple nice pieces early in FA, and my final bids on DeAngelo and Lechler stuck at least. Will be back probably Monday night, hope there's a bit of depth left at least.

I stay within the redskins tight cap space and improved the team...

    L Alexander 700k
    R Mundy 700k
    D Woodhead 800k
    K Lichensteiger 800k
    S Moss 1mil
    Marcus Trufant 1.5mil
    Donnie Avery 2.5
    Kenny Phillips 2.5

L Alexander was a great ST's guy and a valuable backup also.... Mundy is probably a last cut decision, but gives us some camp competition at a position of need. Woodhead is a cheap mans 3rd down back, replacing Royster was a easy decision and Woodhead is a upgrade... Lich was a solid part of the OL last yr, no brainer at that price. Same with Moss, couldnt keep him at what he was going to earn, but at 1 mil, he's a playmaker that RG3 needs... Avery is a younger version of Moss and we needed some inside speed in a bad way... Another weapon to put into the offense at a reasonable price... Trufant provides depth at a position of need and can help in the nickel package. Then getting Phillips at 2.5 mil is a steal. Not only is he a position of big time need, he was also grabbed from a division rival... Really didnt think I had a shot at him.... Still havent really addressed the OL, but with some of these bids I just couldnt hang with you big spenders....
