you can't BSU as justification for BSU staying in the conference. That makes no sense.

    BSU can't play itself.

It's relevant because you're comparing the conferences and BSU is IN the MWC. Besides, there are other intriguing schools in there on the rise.

Why do you keep ignoring my question?

It's not relevant when you're talking about what's best for BSU.

All the teams left have been relevant in recent years, Cuse even just pounded one of the supposed big boys. SDSU still would've been like 5th in this year's big east.

It's also getting some of the fastest rising non-bcs programs in SMU and Central Florida, who i would put money on will be better than anyone in the MWC not named BSU.

Staying in the mWC is still going to be BSU's easiest road to an undefeated year, so that's why they did it. Don't pretend it was anything more than that.

"All the teams that left." Precisely my point!!!

If those teams didn't leave, BSU would still be in the big east. None of those teams are relevant because they are gone!

Stop using teams that are leaving the big east as some sort of proof that the big east is decent. If those teams stayed, so would we.

And the MWC is getting some hot risers as well, like USU and SJSU, who both had very good years. That's in addition to teams that are decent year in and year out like Fresno, Nevada and SDSU.

Staying in the mWC is still going to be BSU's easiest road to an undefeated year, so that's why they did it. Don't pretend it was anything more than that.
This comment shows a severe lack of understanding on your part, in regards to the situation and college football financials.

BSU, like EVERY collegiate program, is going to follow the money. The big east is on the verge of extinction. BSU stood to be much more profitable in the MWC. If the PAC-12 offered tomorrow they'd be there in a second. BSU is going to go wherever they can get the best tv deal.

This is one of the most absurd arguments to occur on this forum in quite some time. Neither conference is particularly good. BSU & SDSU moving to the Big East might be a slight upgrade for them, but not significant enough to justify the resulting scheduling/travel nightmare. They're better off staying where they are, and joining the Pac-12 or Big 12 in the future. If they turned down the SEC/Big Ten, then they would look bad in doing so, but deciding to not join the Big East is barely even news worthy.

They got a pretty decent tv deal by staying as well.

There just is no benefit to joining the big east. There is no one left in that conference.

And I've always said that if they turned down the big 12 or PAC 12 it would look bad.... Of course hell will freeze over before ANY small conference school turns them down... It's simple economics.

I am so confused and I don't want to read the whole thread, but it seems a thread on Te'o is all about BSU and conference scheduling/strength? Lol...that's pretty funny.
