This is a chance to grab a kid without having to use draft picks to do it. This kid was pretty damn good at USC, and I heard he was unblockable in the CFL.
There's some CFL tape of his. Looks pretty unblockable, granted he's facing guys that make Queen Dunlap look like an all-pro, still impressive and could be the next Cameron Wake to make an impact from the CFL to NFL. He's 6'5 295lbs and extremely athletic and quick, looks pretty strong too. Dude has a pretty sick spin move, that's impressive for a 295lber. Sign him up, we got nothing to lose!

Been saying it for years, the first NFL team that puts a fulltime scout up North is going to make out like bandits. There are plenty of useful players up here and nobody is exploiting it fulltime.
And I would be willing to bet that no CFL team would sign Dunlap if he was out of a job. The talent level isn't that much of a drop. I remember when Ricky Williams went to Toronto a lot of guys on these forums thought he would blow it up, he had easily his worst year as a pro. Think of it this way, there might be 8 C drafted every year, the next 3-4 go play in the CFL. Out of all of the programs in the US there might be a dozen C drafted. It's pretty likely that the NFL missed on one. The year that Ricky went to the Argos they had three former Heisman winners on their roster.
The kid was going to be a high pick before he suffered a Heart Attack at USC. That is the red flag on him. Can you imagine a guy having a heart attack and dieing right there on the football field. Huge medical risk, no matter how much he played in the CFL once you have a heart attack it is so much easier to have a second, plus to have it at that age is scarely. However purely on talent that was in that video, hell yeah take the chance as long as Armond Armstead is willing to take it.
