Eli or Peyton?

I'm surprised this is as close as it is. Eli has the 2 rings, but let's be honest, he wasn't spectacular in either game. Big brother certainly has his share of failures, but I'll take my chances.

Eli was a stud in 2011.

...but that is the only year he has ever been anything more than a slightly above average QB.

If I get 2011 Eli, I take him. If I get any other year in his career, I take Peyton. If I just get to wait and see what Eli shows up, I take Peyton too.

Eli's entire career is built on 2011 IMO. Other than that he has been nothing special at all. It was sad to see him revert back to mediocrity this year.

I think mostly put, they miss Steve Spagnuolo. Without him the defense hasn't been an upper-echelon group, and goes only as far as the offensive output.

Surprised the Saints haven't fired him yet....if they do...you guys could have him back. Is Fewell the DC now?

The tough part about this question is the phrasing "playoff QB", like I can somehow have Peyton for the regular season and then plug in Eli for the playoffs. If I just had to pick one QB for the season, I would take Peyton and take my chances in the playoffs. I guess for just the playoffs I gamble on Eli, see if he really does have some pixie dust magic, especially if we are talking both players at their current ages and points in their careers.
