    H&R Block banner ad

Probably the most annoying ad this site has ever had, and that includes the virus-laden ones. :)

If you let it load, it takes over the top half of the page and anywhere you click opens a new HR Block window. You can't click anywhere on the page and get anything except a new window thanks to this ad. You have to scroll down to avoid it.

I don't use ad-blocker plugins but this is tempting to me.

    browser is firefox

Yup. Same problem for me. I can no longer access this site on Safari because I inadvertently clicked on the link

Now I'm getting a monster.com ad and I'm back to normal.

Don't know if you guys tweaked anything, but much improved.

When I click on the reply button in the general forum it opens an H&R block page in a new window so long as the H&R Block ad is in the top banner. After I refreshed the page and a different banner appeared on the top I didn't have an issue.

That's some pretty shady **** right there.

It was inadvertent and has been corrected. Sorry for any hassle. FWIW, it got on my nerves, too.

Still happening for me. When I try to reply in the regular manner, or when I click to another forum, it opens up the H&R block ad but for me in the same window. The only way I was able to reply now was by using reply with quote.

Correction. The ad opens in a different window, but I still can't reply to threads in the normal window.

This is still very broken. Takes over the entire screen

If I right click on reply and open in a new window I can send this message. I'm using Chrome

Yeah...its still happening. All kinds of links on the forum still open the H&R Block site in a new window, pretty much rendering the forum useless.

It appears to have taken over the whole site. Any time I click on any forum it opens the H&R Block site instead. I can only reach this thread by clicking on the thread itself.

    Apparently... not.

I just put AdBlockPlus in Firefox and it solves all problems.

Doesn't do much for kffl's site revenue though.

I'll be happy to disable it when things improve, but between the script freezes, screen takeovers, and viruses detected from these kffl ad-banners, it's really becoming an issue of trusting someone who's let you down numerous times before.

At some point they can either change (the ad rotator they use and the advertisers it pulls from) or you can stop trusting them. :)

Done with this place. Football sites shouldn't offer their users a less secure environment than a porn site.
