Player that impressed you this year.

Weems has to be my biggest suprise. That kid is a baller, trying to destroy the guy lined up across from him. His motor was going every play I saw.

Brandon Marshall. Not just on the field, but off of it too. The guy consistently beat the opposing #1 CB and teams didn't dare to not double him up.

He did well, plays with a lot of emotion. But I was always wondering when he was gonna draw a 15 yard penalty for unsportsmanlike.

I was impressed with Conte. He is developing into a solid safety. Did Lovie finally strike gold?

Corey Wootten... Impressed is a big word. But he legitimately took Izzy's job, finally showing some of the promise he came with out of Northwestern.
Jon Scott... Again, impressed isn't the right word. Easily exceeded expectations is more like it.

Eric Weems is an interesting choice. He surprised me in that his returns were substandard (compared to what he did for Atlanta last year). But he was fierce in his other STs roles. Makes me wonder if he was told he wouldn't be the return man, so he got stronger instead.

Wooten's the guy for me too. I actually thought he was somewhat of a longshot to even make the team, much less become a quality starter. I generally have a firm rule not to pass final judgement on players until they've been in the league for 3 seasons, but for some reason I broke my rule with Wooten. His first 2 years were so injury riddled & disappointing that I had given up on him. He certainly showed that I should stick with my rule. :)

Tim Jennings deserves mention also. I thought Hayden would take his starting job with ease, but Jennings came to play this year. He was outstanding. Hopefully it wasn't a 1 year fluke.

I guess the OP is somewhat confusing....are you asking who impressed you this year overall? Or who was the biggest surprise?

To me, the biggest surprise player would be Tim Jennings. The most impressive was Marshall, hands down.

I've got to go with Jennings and Wooten because they showed the biggest improvement.

I like every name mentioned, but I'm going to throw out somebody I was ready to write off, Major Wright.

    Nothing flashy, just solid.

for me Jennings and Wooten were both really big surprises I thought Jennings was done after last season and Wooten although there was promise there he had been pretty much awful especially last season well they both improved majorly to a point where they are important parts of the defense.

Major Wright would have been my mid year pick clearly but I thought his play flattened ou a little late in the year he atleast showed though he is a chance to be a decent starter.
Next thing you know they will take my thoughts away
