Russell wins rookie of the month Honors

Russell Wilson named NFL Offensive Rookie of the Month for December. He joins Walter Jones, Rocky Bernard and Lofa Tatupu as the only Seahawks to win the monthly rookie honor.

More importantly IMO, Wilson won the Steve Largent award voted on by the team as best exemplifying the spirit of sportsmanship, leadership, teamwork and character.

I believe he is the first rookie to win that team award.

We are extremely fortunate to have this stud on our team. After seeing him play all season and having the rare chance to spend a day watching him practice, I'm convinced sooner or later he's going to win a SB. Maybe more than one.

Best part is he is only a rookie. After he gets more experience he will be a force to contend with not that he isn't already but so far we've only seen the bottom of what the future holds for him.

Now Tom, get him the best protection possible and watch him shred defences for the next 10 yrs.
