Thanks Lucas - Listened to that play on a car radio in Corpus Christi Texas as it happened - I don't remember actually seeing it. Two blocked FGs in a row - if I remember right - the first one disallowed for some reason - the 2nd this TD.

    Well, it's like this.......

IMHO, Wright was the better cover , but I'll give the edge to Champ as a pure tackler. I think he is one of, if not the best tackling corner of all time. Plus, again IMHO, WRs have improved and gotten much bigger and the rules just plain suck. They have tied a boat anchor to defenders. So it's kind of remarkable what Champ has done.

I actually found this argument persausive (us liberals are not hidebound on such matters).

The rule changes that Champ has played with makes him easily better than Wright. Not to mention that he's got double the ints, fumbles, and god knows how many more tackles than Wright.

    Champ in a landslide.

    BINGO!

The level that Champ has been able to play at the last decade plus with the new rules in the NFL is amazing.

    January 04, 2004:

    Colts 41
    Broncos 10

... a short time later, a blockbuster deal brings Champ to Denver

In essence, we have Peyton Manning to thank for the Broncos acquisition of Bailey

Great Read Mingo my man...this is the spiritual realm creeping into sports as we now see the best CB we've ever had as being LOYAL and patient and TEAM oriented...aka: the reflection of selfishness or selflessness/Generosity/charity/Love and I think there might be a one named carpenter in there somewhere too...or a really Groovy song at least...who'da thunk we shouldn't have killed all the Gnostics and the Mayans too but think God that scary Mayan stuff didn't come raining down on us I think we should all just STOP; count our blessings and get HIGH as a mother-plucker no...? At least we can sign a treaty not to burn folks at the stake ever again...burn them at the big PHAT joint more like....Thank GOD For Colorado! GO BRONCOS!

Since you are a great patriot Bleedy - a man of many sacrifices to his country and a fella in the direct chain of command that found Sadam in his spider hole - it is not surprising that you would find these qualities in Champ Bailey the most praiseworthy. Welcome back my friend.
